Below is a summary of key indicators from the CAPES Biodiversity Area evaluation form, covering the categories "Program", "Training", and "Impact on Society".


PROGRAM

  • Twenty-seven (27) faculty members, of whom 22 are Core Members (CM = 81.5%)

  • Completed supervisions: 90.9% by CM

  • Ongoing supervisions (as of end of 2024): 95.5% by CM; 100% across the four-year period

  • Participation of CM in courses: 100% taught at least one course in the quadrennium (median of 3 offerings per CM)

  • Exclusive faculty members: 10 (45.5% of CM)

  • CNPq Productivity Fellows: 3 (Level 1A), 4 (1B), 1 (1C), 1 (1D), 5 (Level 2) – 63.6% of CM hold PQ fellowships


TRAINING

  • Articles (> A4 journals by students/alumni) per Master's-equivalent: ~256 articles / [(48 PhDs × 2.5) + 43 MScs] = 1.57
    (estimated value assuming 10% co-authorship among students)

  • Students/alumni (2021–2024) with more than 2 A-journal papers per year: 3
